Artist Kelly Morgan has felt an emotional connection to owls for as long as she can remember - she has a strong memory of her Mam knitting her a woolly owl of her very own when she was little. Kelly loves the character and beauty of owls; they never fail to bring a smile to her face. As a result they have featured prominently in her work, especially since a visit to Kielder Bird of Prey Centre where she held a tiny owl in her hands. Sadly, despite overwhelming temptation, she did not sneak it into her pocket to take home :)
In Owl together now Kelly had a lot of fun drawing and painting a wide range of quirky owl characters in an atmospheric starlit sky. The intention of this piece was to celebrate owls and bring a smile to your face too!
