I have a special place in my heart for friendly little robins. They always seem to appear just as the leaves start to turn, and autumn is my favourite season, with its rich colours, cosy warmth and that lovely golden light. I wanted to bring all of that together in this little window shaped suncatcher.
I hand paint every one of my window suncatchers here in my North East studio, surrounding my robin with gently falling leaves in warm amber, russet and golden tones.
The window shape makes it feel like a tiny seasonal scene all of its own, and when the light shines through, it truly comes alive. Hang it in a window at home and let a little autumn glow brighten your space all year round.
